It Takes a Village!

It was thrilling to see a mention of my name by the United States Sport Horse Breeders Association. It went exactly like this -

Doug Payne piloted Jane Dudinsky’s Quintessence (Quinar – Victoria’s Secret, by Cacique) to the win in the Young Jumper ChampionshipsMidwestern League 6-year-old Championship. Quintessence was bred in the US by Lisa L. O’Brien. Shawn McMillen photo.

Finally we are starting to see breeder recognition and acknowledgement! Of course it helps when there are supportive and engaged owners, trainers, riders, grooms, vets, farriers, and one unsung hero in the mix. This unsung hero In the case of Quintessence SSH is Anne Wilson. Anne was discerning enough to buy Quincy as a foal. She kept him with me for 3 long years before taking him home to South Carolina. There, she came to realize that Quincy had that special, rare, indescribable mix of heart, athleticism, and power. That special something that can make a horse a superstar! So Anne dipped her toes in the water of DP Equestrian by sending Quincy his way for training. The rest is history, and now Quincy is making his way up the levels in the capable hands of Doug Payne through his outstanding owner Jane Dudinsky.

Hats off to you, Doug!

Three cheers to you, Jane!

A toast of gratitude to you, Anne!
